Jon Krakauer has become one of my favourite writers over the years and seems able to write about any subject in a compelling way. Have You Tried his book about crimes inspired by the Mormon church, Under the Banner of Heaven? I noticed there's an adaptation of that streaming on ITVX at the moment.
